Meet Stavros Anthony and John Tsarpalas

Stavros Anthony - Candidate County Commissioner District C

Currently, Stavros Anthony is our Ward 4 representative on the Las Vegas City Council in Nevada. He is currently running for Clark County Commissioner

First elected in 2009, he won a third and final term in the primary election on April 4, 2017. He is not eligible to run for re-election again in 2021 due to term limits. Prior to his re-election to the city council in 2017, Anthony was a 2015 candidate for mayor of Las Vegas.

Stavros was a 2018 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Nevada. He dropped out of the race in January 2018. Stavros is very active in our community hosting and sponsoring many of our events.

John Tsarpalas – Nevada Policy Research Institute

John Tsarpalas is the President of the Nevada Policy Research Institute and is deeply committed to spreading limited government ideas and policy to create a better, more prosperous Nevada for all.

John spent the first 25 years of his career as a commercial construction contractor in Chicago. As government regulations and taxes expanded exponentially in Illinois, he realized he had to became more active in the world of politics.

In an effort to making changes, John became President of the Sam Adams Alliance.  Their focus was on educating activists and building support organizations to help the free enterprise and limited government movements in 10 states. On the national level he was part of the team that started the Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity and American Majority.  After the Sam Adams Alliance, John partnered to start the following educational not-for-profits: Think Freely Media, the Haym Salomon Center for Jewish American Thought, and Midwest Speaking Professionals.

A former native of the economically and politically bankrupt state of Illinois, John now lives in Henderson, Nevada, with his wife of 41 years.
